Have you ever suffered with the upset of moving an elderly parent into the Care Home environment? It can be a very daunting and distressing time for all concerned.
We here at Rival Clothing have all gone through the pain of the process with our own parents moving into Care homes.
Having already being involved with producing clothes for older ladies we turned our attention to suitability of clothing for theses situations. Care of the clothing in particular as the care home environment can be very harsh on washing etc.
While our clothing does not pretend to be indestructible , they do go some way into remaining in good condition with non iron fabrics and all being machine washable .
Unfortunately if you were thinking of tumble drying , you will only be speeding up the deterioration process of garments and is not recommended. Our dresses for elderly ladies will benefit from just being left to dry on a hanger which will not take long . Use this process and you will find they will last and last..
Our Skirts are also made form the same fabrics as our dresses and all with elasticated waists for ease of getting on and off and also for comfort. Again all machine washable and air to dry.
